YANKEY @ THE ARSENAL

Next stop for me was to the Arsenal, who played in the women's premier division. I joined at 16 and after a few games in the reserves I made it on to the bench for the first team from where I played the majority of games that season.

It turned out to be a great year as we won the Treble (League, FA Cup and League Cup). In fact it was a brilliant season for Arsenal all round as the men's team won the Double (League and FA Cup). To celebrate both teams travelled the streets around Arsenal in open-top buses and were cheered on by 250,000 fans.

Although we never managed to repeat the success of my first season I had four very enjoyable years at Arsenal.
